Smail Family Reunion

This one is personal. It's my own family, and getting to spend a weekend photographing them instead of just being in the middle of it was a strange and wonderful shift. There's real vulnerability in sharing photos like these, because it's not a client's story, it's mine. Back to back beach ball games, paper airplanes aimed at a hamper, people laughing at themselves, that's the weekend right there. I'm grateful I got to freeze it.
